QUICK SPIN: Andre Johnson Likely Out 3 Weeks or More…

UPDATE: John McClain has reported that Andre Johnson had a procedure done to enhance healing and prevent scar tissue build up. As a result of the procedure Andre Johnson could miss three weeks or more.

Fantasy footballers all over the world thought the worst when news broke during the games that all-world wideout Andre Johnson went down with a leg injury.

Fortunately, we are learning today that the injury as not as bad as first feared. It’s a hamstring and it will most likely keep Johnson on the sidelines for week 5. It’s important to note, however, that Johnson has not been ruled out week 5 vs the Raiders.

Matt Stroup of Rotoworld hits the nail on the head when he says that while it would seem on the surface that Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter would be the fantasy beneficiaries of Johnson missing time, it’s more likely that Owen Daniels will be the most targeted receiver and the offense will lean heavily on Arian Foster.
