As you all know things can change before SATURDAY kickoff so be sure to check back as we will be updating Injury status throughout the weekend and then every 10 minutes starting at 11:30 SATURDAY morning up until the 1pm kickoffs. We will then check back in with updates starting at 3pm for the late games.

Many backfields have been decimated by injuries. DeMarco Murray’s week 14 broken ankle opened the door Fragile Felix Jones to garner a week 15 start but a hamstring injury sidelined him in the 2nd half. Jones missed Wednesday’s practice and veteran Sammy Morris could be in line for a start in a crucial NFC East game against Philly. Chicago’s Matt Forte’s knee injury could keep him out for the rest of the season (especially with an unsettled contract) and week 15 saw the emergence of  Khalil Bell into a more prominent role as Marion Barber suffered a calf injury. CJ2K is battling an ankle injury but returned to a limited Thursday practice and is expected to suit up. Jamie Harper is worth stashing if you have the roster space. Rookie Roy Helu laid an egg last week and is battling toe and ankle injuries that make him a low-end RB2 at best for a home matchup with an above average Viking run defense. If you are in a search of an injury replacement be sure to check out our Week 16 RB Waiver Wire Recommendations.

There are multiple injuries to monitor at the WR position as we head into the fantasy Super Bowl week. Vincent Jackson is a game time decision with a groin injury and with the 4pm kickoff make sure you have a late game alternative (Malcolm Floyd, Harry Douglas, or Robert Meachem could be on your waiver wire). Lance Moore suffered a hamstring injury in practice on Friday and with the Monday kickoff he is a major risk this week. The Packers path to perfection took a major blow with the knee injury sustained by leading RW Greg Jennings (out 2-3 weeks). Anquan Boldin required minor surgery and will miss the final 2 games but is expected back for the playoffs. If you need to replace and injured WR take at a peek at our Week 16 WR Waiver Wire Recommendations. Brandon Marshall, Stevie Johnson, and Laurent Robinson are listed as questionable but all three are expected to play albeit at less than 100%.

A few QB injuries could have fantasy owners scrambling to the waiver wire this week. Big Ben gutted his way through a high ankle sprain but is less than 50/50 to play this week against St Luis (a Charlie Batch start would be dramatic downgrade for Steelers passing game). Kevin Kolb (concussion) and Sam Bradford (ankle) are major question marks but if you were relying on them your fantasy season likely ended months ago. Rookie Jake Locker could garner a start after an impressive performance in relief of an injured Matt Hasselbeck (calf) but the Titans appear to favor a higher draft pick over a playoff berth and are expected to start the one foot in the grave brother of Tim Hasselbeck. Those looking for an injury replacement should take a look at our Week 16 Waiver Wire Recommendations.

* DEF Rank refers to Fantasy PTs allowed by POS. The higher the Rank the worse the defense (better matchup for your players). For example, the San Francisco’s run defense continue to neutralize opposing ground games as the 49ers rank 1st in fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs.
