The all-world rusher who is coming back from a devastating knee injury was arrested in Houston after reportedly resisting arrest after an incident in a night club.  Peterson has a clean record and this report comes as a real surprise.  He isn’t a thug or a Bengal or a Buccaneer, or a Lion so he’s among the last people you’d expect to be locked up for resisting arrest.  Aside from making stupid comments about millionaire NFL athlete’s being subjected to modern day slavery Peterson is rarely in the news for negative reasons.

This is unlikely to impact Peterson’s fantasy value.  It’s not going to result in a suspension – unless some really crazy details come out. Peterson insists that he will be ready for the start of the season, but all indications are that Toby Gerhart will carry more of the load early on as Peterson gradually ramps up to full speed and capacity.
