QUICK SPIN: Preseason Action Ruled Out for Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson will not play in the preseason. Adam Schefter reported on ESPN that the Vikings believe AP is will be ready for week 1 but do not want to risk playing him in the preseason. There have been no set backs and from all indications AP is ahead of schedule and on track for week 1.

Before we get to Peterson let’s address Toby Gerhart. We see him as a solid low end RB2 for week’s 1 & 3 and that may extend as far as four weeks into the season. Having to draft Peterson sight unseen is concerning and we’ve been saying that the end of round two is a fair place to draft him, but considering that we won’t have a glance at his cutting ability and burst we are now advocating third round for Peterson.
