Ralph Vacciano is reporting that Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) did not practice today and it’s his opinion that Bradshaw will not play week 3. After Bradshaw when out of the game in week 2 it was Andre Brown who got the lion’s share of the work, but rookie David Wilson.
VIEWS
The crew on NFL Fantasy Live on the NFL Network says the Giants prefer Andre Brown because of his ball security and blocking to protect Manning over David Wilson.
ESPN is projecting just 7 fantasy points for Andre Brown but we suspect that is tied to the uncertainty regarding Bradshaw’s status. If it becomes official that Bradshaw is out we expect them to bump him up.
Keith Jordan of FantasySharks.com warns owners not to give up on David Wilson. He reminds us that Tiki Barber was in the same boat for the Giants where he had fumblitis and overcame it through hard work and coaching.
FANTASY FOOTBALL SPIN
Andre Brown is worth a pick up on the waiver wire if you are a Bradshaw owner or need a one week fill in. Other than that we are not ready to say that he is the answer for this season or long term over David Wilson. The Giants spent a first round pick on Wilson and they will work to help him become a better blocker and overcome his fumble issues. We wouldn’t give up on Wilson, particularly in dynasty and keeper leagues. He’s the more talented back and in our estimation still the front runner to be the heir to Ahmad Bradshaw.
