As you all know things can change before Sunday kickoff so be sure to check back as we will be updating Injury status throughout the weekend and then every 10 minutes starting at 11:30 Sunday morning up until the 1pm kickoffs.
We will then check back in with updates starting at 3pm for the late games.
WEEK 11 Byes: Tennessee, Minnesota, NY Giants, and Seattle
Week 10 saw multiple QBs knocked out of action , most notably Big Ben and Mike Vick seem likely to miss multiple weeks with significant injuries. The Monday night battle for the NFC conference lead could pit Jason Campbell vs Colin Kaepernick – not exactly what ESPN was hoping for. Jay Cutler will miss this week’s game after suffering his 6th concussion. Alex Smith passed his concussion tests and is expected to start but remains just a desperation play against Chicago’s opportunistic defense.
The depth at the RB position takes a major hit this week as injuries and byes will leave many owners scrambling to waiver wires. Ryan Mathews has been a major disappointment this season and a neck injury suffered in week 10 has his status forthe 4pm kickoff with Denver in doubt (Jackie Battle and Ronnie Brown would split carries if Mathews can’t go). Mathews did return to Friday’s practice and appears likely to start barring a setback.
RUN DMC suffered his annual injury in week 9 as a high ankle sprain is expected to keep him and backup Mike Goodson in street clothes for the 2nd straight week elevating Marcel Reece to borderline RB2 status against the porous Saint defense. The Cowboys’ Demarco Murray is likely to miss his 5th straight game with a foot injury, which should keep Felix Jones fantasy relevant for the week 11 matchup against the struggling Brown defense. MJD will also remain sidelined but backup Rashad Jennings has been MIA and is just a desperation play against the stout Houston defense. One positive note is Darren Sproles practiced on Thursday and has a decent chance to suit up in Oakland. If Sproles is active it would put a major damper on the Chris Ivory hype train (might be deactivated).
At the WR position, the Packers bye week can at an opportune time for Jordy Nelson owners as he’s fully expected to return for the week 11 matchup in Detroit. Greg Jennings is targeting a week 13 return after surgery. Atlanta’s Julio Jones is labeled as a game time decision after missing practice with an ankle injury (Harry Douglas would be a deep sleeper vs Arizona if JJ can’t go). Pierre Garcon has missed 6 games with a foot injury but has a 50/50 chance to return against Philly after putting in limited practice (would be an upgrade for RG3).
At the TE position Aaron Hernandez will miss his 4th straight game and Owen Daniels is listed as a game time decision (but expected to start after putting in full practices Weds through Friday).
