Injury SPIN: Sidney Rice Hurt…Again

While it’s true that Sidney Rice hasn’t missed a game this year he has seemingly always been on the verge of not starting because of injury in his career – which is just a way of making a run-on sentence of of saying he’s injury prone, so I am just gonna keep going with this run-on while I have momentum. Anyway, he didn’t practice today and was in a walking boot with a bruised foot.
FANTASY FOOTBALL SPIN
The Bills pass defense is, well, ok. They’re not great or terrible. They are allowing 229 yards passing (14th in NFL) and over the past five weeks they are giving up 23 fantasy points per game to receivers. Buffalo has also given 22 TDs through the air with 16 going to receivers. Injury aside, it’s difficult to trust a receiver in the Seahawks offense. They rely heavily on the run and Marshawn Lynch is the engine that makes the Seahawks otherwise pedestrian offense go.
Look for updates in the interactive injury report we post on Friday but it’s not looking good at this point. Rice may play but we can’t recommend him for anything more than a deep league flyer considering he’ll be less than 100% and could be shadowed by emerging rookie CB Stephon Gillmore. Charly Martin and Doug Baldwin would probably split reps if Rice doesn’t play but neither is on the fantasy radar.
