The term “Sleeper” is among the most overused words in the fantasy football world, it’s become almost as annoying to me as when people call an interception touchdown a “Pick Six”. But worse, the players being listed as sleepers are widely known and in most cases much is expected of them in 2010. I am a big fan of NationalFootballPost.com, but come on, here is a sampling of players they referred to as “sleepers” – Michael Bush, Jahvid Best, Chad Henne, and Kellen Winslow. I don’t want to pick on one site, I came across an article on Bleacherreport.com that called Ryan Mathews and Kevin Kolb sleepers.
FANTASY FOOTBALL SPIN
“Sleeper”, as a fantasy football term needs to be defined. Arian Foster for instance was clearly an early sleeper, but now…does he still qualify? Mike Thomas – Legadu Naanee – Mike X. Williams ….. Any ideas? We would like to know how you would define sleeper and who you might suggest as sleepers for this season.
