Regime change always means lots of upheaval and new opportunities and it looks like these two signings fall under the “throw it against the wall and see what sticks” theory.  Pete Carrol gave a try out to the Mike Williams the former 10th overall choice in the 2005 draft out of USC.  Reggie Williams another huge bust who was draft 9th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars and is currently on probation for cocaine charges also landed a contract.

In the Seahawks defense these are no-strings attached contracts and guarantee nothing.  The chances of both players making the team are very slim, but one may end up on the regular season roster.

Even if one of these guys makes the roster they are extremely unlikely to have any real numbers.  It’s worth noting that they are with the team and keeping an eye out to see if either makes the team.
